We recommend that you take the highway to Zagreb and Split until the end of the motorway. From there follow the signs to Dubrovnik until you reach the town of Ploce (where the highway ends).
From here you have 2 possibilities how to reach Viganj:
1. In the Ferry Port of Ploce you take the ferry, which will bring you in 1 hour to Trpanj. Once arrived in Trpanj you will need another 35 min to your apartments.
Or you can drive through completely new Peljesac bridge (opening in July 2022). In that case, no ferry is needed.
2. You follow the signs towards the town of Orebic and then Viganj. When you see the sign “Camp Anthony boy” showing that you should turn left, follow the road that goes down to the sea and drive on the coastal road through the city Kucisce, until you reach Viganj (all the time along the sea). Then drive through Viganj, pass the main beach, the post and a little supermarket Mareta and shortly after that (50 m) you will spot a big, fancy white house with brown shutters as seen on our photos - that is your apartment villa!
Enter through the main door and on your right - hand side is a reception, where you can ask where to park your car. From there on you are in welcoming hands of your hosts! :)
The town of Korcula with its medieval Old Town (15 minutes’ drive with a tourist boat from your villa). Some people affectionately refer to it as little Dubrovnik. The town of Korcula is an annual host of Knights games called Moreska which are a wonderful tourist attraction, especially for children.
They take place in the old city centre in the amphitheatre under the stars. After the games have a cocktail at Massimo – a pub in the tower of the city walls. To reach it, you need to climb a wooden ladder (skirts are not recommended). For that final cherry on top treat yourself to an authentic sea food dinner in one of Korcula's many restaurants (we recommend restaurant Mareda in the old city centre) to end the perfect trip around Korcula Island.
1. A tavern Maritimo, which is located 200-300 m from the apartments Viganj on the right hand side as you step out on the street and look towards the sea. In this tavern I ate the best fish in the last two years, the prices are very normal and not to even mention the beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. This family run tavern is right next to the road and when you start climbing to the first floor, you are going to notice small little figures of seaman, which gives the place a touch of care and humour.
2. Tavern Chiringuita, from the apartment house turn left towards the beach Punta, and a bit further you will find it. There they have those divine shrimps grilled with arugula and goat cheese, and a wide variety of bruschetta’s. It’s a fantastic lunch place, because it is so relaxed, half- surfer atmosphere and you may come in your swimwear. In the evening there is a romantic atmosphere with torches, and from the table you can admire the sea, so the experience is gorgeous!
3. Karmela bar, here are the best coffees, it's a wonderful place to go to read your morning newspaper. When you exit your apartment house you turn left in the direction of Punta beach, 5 minutes away.
4. Tavern Barsa (no, it has nothing to do with the Barcelona Football Club :)) in Loviste on Peljesac peninsula is an obligatory visit! A lobster with homemade noodles is a speciality of the house is not a bad idea to make a reservation over the phone in advance, as the place get crowded quickly, since is it just a small, family run tavern, where almost everything is organic and prepared with love :)
5. Konoba Forte is located 5-minute walk towards the main beach Ponta. This is an excellent choice for all seafood lowers. Mussels, roasted shrimps, squids on BBQ or morning caught fish in combination with spinach and potato! I believe you will be back. Many times! As do we! :)
6. Restaurant Ponta is located just across the road at the main beach. If you are in pursuit for the best pizza in town, French-fries or do you want to have diverse daily lunch offer, then this is the place to be. The rest of the food is also ok, but you won’t get any exceptional gourmet delights. It is a perfect location after a long day on the water! :)
7. Konoba Panorama above Orebic town (when you drive from Viganj towards Orebic turn left after hotel Azur, drive up the steep hill, past the Franciscan monastery and church). Restaurant has a fantastic position with panoramic view over the whole Peljesac channel, Korcula town and surrounding islands. The food has changed a bit over the years, but is still homemade and delicious :) A combination of fantastic food, exclusive wines and unimaginably beautiful view surely won’t disappoint you!
8. Mareta restaurant in Korcula (order a homemade goat cheese that is not on the menu, just say that you have heard that there is one such delicate), shrimps with avocado, roasted apples with goat cheese, dates with fresh cheese and a salad with goat cheese, and I am sure that you have the dinner of your life! :)
9. Arsenal Tavern in Korcula town as well is a great place of homemade local food. Do not leave the place without having tried a grilled octopus with potatoes on grill, pogaca (pizza-like round thing with delicious eggplant, grilled zucchini and goat cheese), pasticada (a speciality of the house!) , great salad with goat cheese and homemade zrnovski noodles with prawns! Mmmm, I wish I was there now! :)

What we tell you is 100% true. We hate making things look better. If you have small children and you want to make a reservation for a villa that has rocky beach in front of it, we will tell you that it is not ideal for the toddlers.
