This boutique hotel has a fantastic beachfront position in the centre of Viganj village. Hotel is located in the heart of the bay with the charming Church "Gospa od Rozarije" from the 17th century, Dominican monastery and old captain’s houses made of stone.

Left end of the bay is mesmerised with water and wind-related sport activities, while right end is kept in standby mode with local residents and tourists who wish to avoid even this small amount of hustle and bustle you can came across in Viganj.

A small market where you will find anything you need as well as ATM cash machine is located just behind the hotel, across the road. Few meters away from the hotel you will find a pier where a taxi boat, which departs towards Korcula old medieval town three times per day, is located.

Korcula Island has a charming medieval Venetian town Korcula, also named »little Dubrovnik« because of the resemblance of the Dubrovnik old town, one of the most beautiful medieval towns in Europe - Croatia.

On the other side of the road, just behind this luxury boutique hotel, there is a local travel agency and souvenir shop with some excellent handcrafted souvenirs. It is located in old Dominican monastery that sometimes featuers interesting exhibits.

If you love sports, especially the ones connected with the sea, then you couldn’t pick a better place to spend your vacation. 10 walking minutes down the sea road there is a “Ponta beach”, where the main sports’ action takes place.

In the direct vicinity you will find windsurfing and kitesurfing school Water Donkey. There you can learn you first steps on the board or you can upgrade your skills. If there is no wind, you can rent SUP (stand-up-paddle) boards, kayaks or simply relax in their chill-out area.

Other shops, restaurants and bars are a bit closer than the surfing beach. We advise you to visit beach bar Chiringito where you will be thrilled by the best bruschettas, roasted squids with potatoes or fantastic beefsteak with garden rocket salad.

The best thing about Viganj is its youthful and relaxing energy; you will always run into all generations who love sports.

There are also 3-4 really good authentic Dalmatian restaurants (konobas) in Viganj, however, there is also a pizza bistro, a few bars (one of which is a popular cocktail bar), a pancake stand, a smoothie stand and two excellent wine shops.

There are two options to get the best views of the surrounding area. One is by car, if you drive from Viganj towards Loviste. When you reach the upper road and it starts climbing there is a panoramic spot on one of the serpentines. The whole area is laid below your feet.

Other option (my favourite) is to sail/paddle with a windsurf, SUP or kayak few meters away from the coastline (beware that sea current can be strong here especially when the wind is blowing). Here you can see the whole town stretching by the shore and on higher areas you can see ruins of the past. Most of it are old captain’s stone houses which were built in 18th century and are still proudly overlooking the channel between Peljesac and Korcula and reminding us on past glory and wealth of highly respected ship captains, that originated from this area.

Orebic town (where you can find practically everything) is located 10-minute drive from Viganj. Nearest pharmacy, doctor, urgent medical help centre or dentist is located in Orebic town. Gas station and big supermarket Konzum can be found on the suburb of Orebic town (around 1 km from the town’s centre).

Do you want to rent diving equipment, play tennis, try water skiing or take a ride on water banana? All this and much more can be found in Orebic town on sandy beach Trstenica where you won’t run out of different activities.

Ferry terminal to Korcula Island is located in Orebic town (ferry departs in high season practically every hour). Taxi boats which drive to Korcula town have more frequent departure times from Orebic (every hour) then from Viganj (3 times/day). Here you can board a semi-submarine and explore the underwater life and sea bed – especially children will love this experience!

Loviste village in a beautiful quiet bay is a 15 min drive over Mount Ilija from Viganj and there you can find one of the finest local restaurants named »Barsa«, famous for its sea specialities!

There are many vineyards along the Peljesac Peninsula and the area also offers sailing, mountain walking, climbing to the Mountain St. Ilija, biking, kitesurfing, windsurfing and fishing. You can hike (3-4 h walk) to the top of Mount Saint Ilija (961m) that provides wonderful views across the Peninsula and Korcula Island – but do take your trekking shoes and lots of water with you (in summer months the rock heats up very quickly and in the morning there can be over 30°C in the air)!

In Ston town, only one hour drive from Viganj, you can take a walk around Maloston city walls, buy salt from their salt-works (here you can find the purest Mediterranean salt), enjoy in gastronomical delights with oysters and cuttlefish risotto and visit and taste some of the top vineries on Peljesac Peninsula.

This peninsula is among the best known Croatian wine regions with international recognition in quality and taste.

The World and European windsurfing championships have each been held in Viganj in recent years, and the Croatian windsurfing championships are held here each August.

For those with an explorer's spirit the island Skoji, Lastovo, Mljet and the famous city of Dubrovnik (only 2 hours away) will be the perfect expedition.

Peljesac Peninsula is also famous by its fantastic beaches. The most common, throughout whole peninsula, is the combination of pebble – rocky beaches.  With few exceptions we can say that beaches in Viganj are mostly small where you can easily get some privacy. Since the whole village is stretched along the coastal area, you can find the beach by your own standards in few seconds or minutes. Further away from the centre and towards the end of peninsula you go more privacy you will get. It is not unusual to find there a completely empty beach even in July or August :)

The most crowded is Ponta beach where you can enjoy on the beach or in the beach bar (when you get tired of sun) and watch windsurfers and kitesurfers in action. Even better pebble beach (smaller and even whiter stones) is in Perna which is located around 2 km towards Orebic town. Just follow the coastal road and you will reach it with bike in 10 minutes. This coastal road is also a great idea for morning run, evening straw or family cycling trip :)

One of the most beautiful beaches on the Adriatic Sea is called Divna beach and is located near Trpanj ferry port (around 25-minute drive). You will fall in love with the contrast colours of green surroundings with high hills, white pebble beach and turquoise blue sea. On the left edge of the bay there is a small island to where you can swim or reach it with the SUP.

Small children will love 1 km long sandy beach Trstenica in Orebic town (10-minute drive from Viganj). On this beach you surely won’t be bored! There is a Water sports centre where you can rent pedal boats, water jets, do water skiing, take a ride on water banana or simply enjoy in floating aqua park.

Pebble beach Mokalo is located further away (5-minute drive) from Orebic. You will be enchanted by small white stones and charming beach-bar. Mokalo is also a paradise for divers. There is a dive centre nearby and a sunken cargo ship called Boka.

To reach Loviste village you need approximately 10 minutes with the car. The first pebble beach is located in the centre of the bay (after you descent to the sea, turn right on the crossroad). In the surrounding areas you will find numerous hidden bays where you can have the complete privacy and peace.

You will really need a bad luck to meet anyone there (beside the fishes and crabs). To reach these hidden pearls it takes some time and persistence because you will drive on rather narrow roads. But  when you reach the location, you will figure out that it was more than worth it! :)

Heritage Boutique Hotel Viganj

This charming luxury boutique hotel with only 7 rooms has a fantastic beachfront position. It literally stands IN the sea… so you can jump from the hotel terrace into the sea! :) More than a hundred years old building has a long and interesting history. Before becoming a hotel it was a post office. After being closed due to a smaller amount of business, the building has been falling apart for a few years until the current owner, who managed this building's operations still in the post office times, decided to buy it and rebuilt it into a luxury hotel. The renovation started in 2013 and in 2018 the hotel opened its doors for the guests.

Outside walls, pathways and terraces are built from local white stone which give the house a unique silky touch. When you step on the terrace, you can quickly picture yourself what a great holiday you will spend here! Firstly you spot a saltwater pool, which is only 4 meters from the sea.

A fancy glass fence separates the pool from the concrete beach with sunloungers, where you feel you are almost in the sea! Imagine yourself on the deckchair with a first class cocktail from the hotel bar, while listening to the sea below your feet and watching afternoon sun turning into orange and sinking to the horizont - no, it is not a dream, but everyday ritual in Heritage Boutique hotel Viganj!

Guests of this hotel have practically a private concrete beach and entrance to the water (stainless steel ladder) on site. A small pebble beach ideal for small children is only 50 m to the right of the hotel. SUPs and bikes are for rent at the hotel beach directly. Next to the pool there are two covered terraces where you can sit down, read, work (you are allowed to max 1 hour of work per day :)) relax with your family and enjoy the delicious cocktails of a hotel bar. One terrace also has the option to cover the sides in case of bad weather or strong winds.

When you enter inside of the hotel you will be surprised with a great combination of modern style and heritage of seaman’s interior which dominates the interior. Rocky stone walls intertwined with modern handmade furniture lead the guests into the famous maritime history of Peljesac. This style is represented all over the hotel – from restaurant to guest’s rooms. On ground floor there is a café & wine bar Bonaca, while 7 hotel rooms named after local winds are located on 1st, 2nd and 3rd floor.

A local self serving breakfast with a cappucino can be ordered for 13,00 € per person per day. Breakfast is served on a terrace and indoor of the hotel. A typical breakfast consist of local goat cheese, homemade honey and marmalade, a large selection of fruits, yogurt, patisserie, croissants and Dalmatian smoked ham.

On 1st floor there are two rooms (Levanat and Ostro) which are for 2 persons each. Each room has a big comfortable double bed with cosy equipped bathroom. Room Ostro is the only one in whole hotel with a private balcony from where you can enjoy a fantastic scenery. The third room on 1st floor is called Maestral. Maestral has a big double bed and extendable sofa bed (200 x 120 cm) so it can accommodate a family of 2 adults and 2 children in total.

Layout on 2nd floor is the same as on 1st one. Room Bura and Lebic are for 2 persons and room Pulenat is for maximum 4 persons.

On the 3rd floor there is the biggest and very romantic attic room, called Tramontana. It has a cosy double bed and sofa bed which can accommodate 2 additional persons. Total of 4 persons can sleep in this room.

All rooms have a private bathroom with bath. Rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, Wi-Fi and LCD SAT TV. Next to the hotel there is a private parking for the guests.
